James O’Barr talks upcoming projects
October 4th, 2009 by TheCrowTVThis article was reposted with permission from ShockTillYouDrop.com. Crow Creator Talks Upcoming Projects James O’Barr, creator of “The Crow,” dropped in on the Chicago Comic-Con over the weekend and ShockTillYouDrop.com reader, Chris, wrote in with a brief report on what the man is up to. “He’s working on two new comics. ‘The Ride’ will feature a story revolving around a car chase between a late ’60s Camaro and a Cuda. The other comic, which is being fully painted, is titled ‘Sundown in Hell’ and is being touted as a vampire western. A 20th anniversary edition ‘Crow’ comic was scheduled to be released this year, but is now being planned for sometime early next year. James stated that when he was working on the original ‘Crow,’ some 32 pages of material had been cut. This new edition will feature that material. In regards to ‘The Crow’ movie, he still keeps in touch with Alex Proyas and mentioned that 11 minutes of footage had been cut from the film, as it had originally received an X rating. James said that most of those 11 minutes featured Brandon Lee. James mentioned that Alex has been talking with the studios to access that material.” View the original article by clicking here.

Crow-Een 2K9 is now accepting entries!
September 27th, 2009 by TheCrowTVCrow-Een 2K9 is now online at http://www.croween.com. The annual crow costume contest is back for another year. This year we’ve decided to change things up a bit with different prizes, judges, and an earlier entry process. Crow-Een is about bringing crow fans together around the world and offering every fan an opportunity to visibly show their love for The Crow. We hope with an earlier entry process it will give fans the opportunity to have more time to prepare their costume and give them a greater window of opportunity to dress up. For those fans planning on dressing up as The Crow, please read the rules and scoring system page before entering. For those fans without access to a digital camera we will accept snail mail entries. The entry deadline this year is November 30th. With this year’s contest we felt it was time to shake things up as much as we can on the judges front. TheCrowTV will serve only as a tie breaker judge. MoonMistress from The Crow: Chamberoom is the only judge from previous contests. This year we welcome three new judges Draven666 and SilverUnicorn from The Tides of Sin Discussion Board. The fourth judge is Phr0st the founder of CrowFans.com and the former webmaster of TheAvenger. While it is a contest, it’s not just about winning. Well it might be about winning for some of you! Typically we are able to secure crow merchandise as prizes, this year we have been unable to. So the winner this year will get a 50 dollar gift certificate to Amazon.com, the second place winner has a choice between the 25 dollar gift certificate to Amazon.com or The Crow: Stairway To Heaven DVD Box Set. The third place winner will receive the prize the second place winner didn’t select. For more information about this contest please visit CrowEen.com. Also available on the website is a gallery of past entries and winners. Good luck to all those who enter.
Crow-Een 2K9, Facebook, Twitter, and V5 update
September 24th, 2009 by TheCrowTVCrow-Een 2K9 judges will be announced this weekend. I’m still figuring out the prize situation. We can now be found on Facebook and our Twitter acct has been restored. CrowFans V5 is progressing along and some ideas are being tested out. One of the things I’d like to see accomplished with the new version of CF is more mobile friendly content. Currently our news section can be accessed via mobile browser. I’m curious to what you guys would like to see in the next version of CrowFans? If you suggestions contact me.

CrowFans V5 Dev Update
September 5th, 2009 by TheCrowTVWell right now CrowFans V5 development is being delayed for a little bit. It’s still being worked on but the progress is going to be slow. Working and taking care of a newborn has taken a lot of time out of my life. Once I finalize the layout and design of the site I will decide on whether to integrate The Crow’s Loft into CrowFans.com. I’m leaning heavily towards the integration.
CrowFans Version 5 Development News
May 16th, 2009 by TheCrowTVSoon I’m going to start laying the groundwork for CrowFans.com Version 5 since I have some time before my son is born. I’d imagine that this will probably be the last major overhaul of the site for years or for good. Some things I’m looking at is integrating The Crow’s Loft into CrowFans.com, switching forum software, and tighter integration between software that runs the site, and more mobile access. I hope to have a preview of the site in the coming weeks. If you have any suggestions feel free to contact me. Yes I know the news section looks funky right now I’m trying to fix it.
I have an announcement to make
April 9th, 2009 by TheCrowTVI’m going to be a daddy. My boy is due is on August 11th and his name will be Joshua Dwayne. The name came from my two grandfathers names and the wish of my mother to use the name Dwayne if I had a boy. I’ve created a website for my boy at http://joshuadwayne.thecrowsloft.com/ . We have created two online registries one for Target and one for Babies R Us if you wish to purchase something to help Lacy and I out. Besides nothing really going in the crow world, hopefully this will explain the lack of updates.
