CrowFans.com on Twitter, and CrowFans.com t-shirts in the works

Friday, July 25th, 2008

For those of you on Twitter, CrowFans.com is now available on Twitter, by clicking here.

Lately I’ve been working on getting t-shirts designed for CrowFans.com.  If you are interested in a shirt, please contact me with the size and quanity. The shirts would be 100% cotton by Gildan on Black.  The price would depend on the size, where I’m shipping to, and how many I can order.

For those in the US wearing sizes S-XL it would be about $12 and thats including shipping and handling if under 100 are ordered all together, if we can get 100+ of these ordered it would be 9.50 including shipping and handling for those in the US. If you wear a larger size than XL, add $1 per additional X per shirt.

On the left is a mock up using the current logo and some text. The final version will differ a bit, the logo will be paired down to two colors, red and white. The logo will also be a bit larger. The logo would also keep the crow outline and CrowFans text, but in the inside background of the outline would get replaced with black.  The text will probably remain but the font will probably change. I’ll post a final version before I actually start accepting orders.

This shirt is not being designed to make a profit for the site, I’ll be happy to break even.  These shirts will be printed by Cuda Apparel located in my home city of Spokane, Washington.

I could have shirts done thru Cafepress and not have to put in any money up front, but they want to charge 18.99 just as the base price for a black shirt.  I can’t justify offering the fans of this site a shirt at that price.  I’d rather pull the collective resources together to buy in bulk and save everyone money. So if you’re interested in a CrowFans.com t-shirt, please contact me with size and quanity.

Random Crow News – O’Barr, Crow-Een, New Poll

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

James O’Barr will be appearing at DefCon in Tulsa, Oklahoma August 1st thru 3rd. For more information click here.

The groundwork is being laid for Crow-Een to come back this year after we finally managed to secure the domain back from the domain spammers. Right now we are working on securing a programmer for the contest submission and judging aspect of the site and prizes for the winners. Stay tuned for more information.

We have a new poll up on the main page asking which mobile phone do you use to access the web. Some of the future development of this site will be mobile related. We’d like to be able to let you access the forum in a mobile format, get updates via SMS text message, and more.

The results of the last poll in which we asked what should be the next move for The Crow franchise.

Female Crow – votes: 211 (53.42%)
Remake the first movie – votes: 76 (19.24%)
Movie to end STH – votes: 45 (11.39%)

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Hey everyone. Sorry for the absence. Over the last 7 months I have been helping my wife take care of her parents who have suffered a variety of illnesses. The sad ending to all this, both have passed on; father in-law on Christmas day and mother in-law just last Thursday. They were both in their early sixties, way too young, but they are in a much better place, free of the pain that they were suffering.

Now that things are getting back to “normal” (if there ever will be such a thing) I am getting back into the update game. There has not been a lot happening, though seems our girl Bai Ling got into a little trouble at an airport recently when she fancied something other than the “pretty lights” and failed to pay. You guys of course saw the update on Statham talking a possible Crow remake (please oh please say it isn’t so!!).

I will be reposting reviews of previous Crow works with a current spin on them. I think it is high time we take a look back and see what all has transpired in the Crow world. I am still working on that mega Crow article I promised that speaks to where it all started and where things ended up.

Take care & God bless
